The selected size represents the longest edge of the finished clock, measured from the outermost point to the outermost point.

The longest edge may be the height or width, depending on the person’s hairstyle and head shape. The shorter edge is scaled proportionally.

For example, selecting 12 inches means the longest edge will be approximately 12 inches—it does not mean the clock will measure 12 × 12 inches.
